facebook, one of the worlds biggest social media sites. and in my opinion, it sucks.
I have been a member of facebook for 13 years. and lately this social media giant has become bigger than ever. everyone you know is on facebook. they have become so big, that they have forgotten how to treat their members, who are also their customers. if you have a roblem, there is no human interaction from facebook to help you with the problem you are having. you just get a canned response telling you to visit the help center where you should be able to find an answer to your problem. those answers are very vague at best, and never help. I have had several issues with facebook lately. it started out with a message from them saying I violated community standards and I was blocked for 4 hours, for what I don't know. then this block progressed to 24 hours, again for what I don't know. after that I got blocked for 3 days, and still I have no idea why. in the mean time I created a second facebook account so that I could message my family and friends on there to let them know what happened to me. I sent several messages to facebook asking for help with the issue and pleading my case, but all went unanswered except for the canned message to review the community standards. I finally got unblocked, and every thing seemed fine for about a week or so. then I go to log in and I get a message saying that I am blocked from messenger for 24 hours because of a message I sent out that was reported as spam. HUH? I never sent any message out. the next day I go to log in again, and there is another notification saying I am blocked from messenger now for 3 days because a message I sent out was reported as spam. now I am no rocket scientist, but if I am currently blocked from messenger, how did I send out spam messages when I cannot do so? these notifications went on every time I logged in for several days until I was blocked from messenger for a month. this was no big deal to me other than the fact that I have hundreds of items posted for sale on the facebook buy/sell/trade pages. so when I got a message about an item I have for sale, I would just use my other facebook page and reply to the person about their inquiry to my ad. this worked fine and I had no problem with it. the final straw was when I was in the middle of posting a bicycle I have for sale. someone sent me a message and the notification thing went off. I clicked on the notification icon to see what it was, and my account went blank and it said I needed to login. WTF? I was logged in. so I tried logging in and there was a notification saying that my account was disabled for impersonating someone else. again, HUH? o clicked on the link where they say if I think they made a mistake to let them know. I filled out all the required fields, sent in a photo id with my name and birthdate just as they required me to do to prove who I am. and now it has been 7 days and still no response from facebook. it's like they blocked any replies from my e-mail address, where I sent my proof of who I am from, and it is the e-mail for my account. I logged into my second facebook page where I received a notification saying a friend reported me as impersonating myself. WHAT? what friend? so I wrote to facebook explaining that the account they removed was indeed mine, and I explained why I have two accounts, which by the way had different spellings of my name, and neither account had the same profile pics on them at all. the second account has a totally separate individual pic from any on my original account. now, once again I am no rocket scientist, but if I worked at facebook and someone reported an account impersonating another account, I would look at them first before making a rash decision. I would notice that the one account has been there for 13 years, and nothing has ever changed on it info wise. and I would notice that the other account was fairly new at 2 months old. so if the older account was established first, how can it be impersonating the newer account, if the older accounts info never changed? add to that the older account had made literally milions of posts and uploaded thousands of pics over the years, and the newer account only uploaded on pic. this is the result of a business that has grown so exponentially that they lost the ability to serve customers. and since they built things so that there is no human interaction, they just don't care. facebook sucks. |

presently, by and by I am no scientific genius, yet on the off chance that I worked at facebook and somebody revealed a record mimicking another record, I would see them first prior to settling on a rash choice. I would see that the one record has been there for a considerable length of time, and nothing has at any point different on it data wise. what's more, I would see that the other record was genuinely new at 2 months old. so assuming that the more seasoned account was laid out first, how might it mimic the fresher record, in the event that the more established accounts data won't ever change? add to that the more established account had made in a real sense milions of posts and transferred great many pics throughout the long term, and the fresher record just transferred on pic.
