I do wish Koontz was more subtle with his themes these days, I feel sometimes like he is painting big billboards where I like themes to be worked in more under the surface.

And as a writer, my writing does not always reflect my personal philosophy of life because I feel that would become boring and predictable.

I have been reading DK for 15 years and I must admit I've been a little disappointed of late, particularly with this book.
I felt the ending was rushed and the hints of mystery that piqued my interest came to nothing.
I see what he was trying to do, but it just didn't have that special kind of magic I so adore in DK's work.
