I'm here Gene but am not as far in as you. And sometimes I can't get in here at all. I'll be back when I've read more, hopefully this weekend.

I really liked it, I think Follett really outdid himself with those 2 books, but then again that cathedral theme is his passion so it shows up in his writing.

Gene: The bookclub reads have been really quiet past few months, it seems there is very little interest. Nice to have you back - missed ya!

I'm just writing to myself. I'm up into the low 600's...can't put this book away...it's great.

Ralph killed that dog without giving a second thought, just like he did to Ben, you'll see!!
I was out with a cold so, now I'm up to about page 325 or so...will read today at the doc's waiting room I'm sure...but it's just as good as Pillars, and I'm loving every word so far. Such a difference between this and that junk called YHBtM.

I'm not far behind you Gene. I was so infuriated when Ralph killed Hop. Grrr. I am only in the beginning of this story and am amazed at how, once again how this author can make one feel.
