A bit better than the last one,Jocko's back as the adopted child of Erika, still not enough of Deucalion tho'.Victor's also back seemingly nastier than before.Good bit of action at the Road house near the end.On the whole I enjoyed it and looking forward to the continuing saga in the war against humanity in the next book The Dead Town coming next year.

Yup, it's a good read. I think it's Koontz's best Frank novel since his first one. In fact, I think it's his best novel in a few years.

My problem with this book is that it did not feel like a full book on it's own. That it just felt like the first third of a much larger story. Yes I know it is that but when compared to the first Frankenstein series, where each book had a story that starts and ends in that novel while a bigger mystery unfolds. This book did not have that. Everything in this book was just build up/pay off for the later books and that disappointed me.
