Now I know this isn't a forum for serious fans.

For those who don't know, Buffy Season 8 is available. In comic book form.

No, I am not kidding. This is not a joke.

Here's a link in which you can read more about this old old news which I'm surprised I'm the one breaking, here now 6 months after the first issue hit the stand, I believe.

http://www.whedon.info/article.php3?id_article=16875

That link also contains some previews of most of the issues, so you can read the beginning of them, but (I'm pretty sure) not the whole issue.

I suggest either you try to get the backissues, or wait until such time as they'll begin collecting them in trade paperback format.

Either way, if you don't read them, you're really missing out on quite a bit. Slayer attack squads and Willow witch-battles, hordes of zombies. All the great aspects of the show, but 2d.
If you find yourself lost in the woods, build a house.

I'm interested in this only because Joss is involved and doing much of the writing(at least at the beginning), but as there is no comic book store in my town, I will just wait until they are all collected into one of those graphic novels and buy those.

I'm buying them, though I'm not quite sure yet what I think of them. It's true, like you said in another post, FE, that it very much were the actors who breathed life into the characters, and though you can hear their voices in your head (LOL!) and the drawings are okay good, it is not the same. The last issue, which started to issue Faith, was probably the best so far. Oh, and then there was that drawing of Angel and Spike in one of the first issues....;)

That's the way I feel about it too Dann. Even with Joss writing, the actors also helped informed the characters. Plus, I had sort of made peace with the show's end and enjoyed what I had, and now this new incarnation, it just doesn't feel real to me despite being from Joss.

No, I'm also thinking to stop buying them, and then wait for the combo. I mean, it also takes away from the joy that you read 25 pages and then have to wait a month for next installment. It worked with The Green Mile, though.
