I'm trying to purchase a primer for a model 450 Jacobsen/Homelite snowblower.  The part number is:  JA990755.  This will be a non-vented "wet" primer.

any lawn and garden shop can get you what you need under a tecumseh part. tell them to look in their quick reference book or use a tecumseh hs50 model engine with the snowblower shroud over the carb that would replace an air cleaner houseing. i would look it up for you but all my books are packed up to move. your snowblower is a two cycle, i'm thinking, so the primer bulb from an hs50 will work fine. cost about $5.

try looking up these companies. hayward, silver streak, stens, northcoast distributing, or even tecumseh themselves. tecumseh sells thru a company called gardner, which is where i buy my parts from, but i think you need to be a dealer to buy from them.
