I think you are out of luck. What I did was bypass the primer with the fuel line. It takes a bit longer to start, but it will start.

why would you do that? if its a diaphragm carb, it will never get any fuel as all the primer does is add pressure to the diaphragm, which is the fuel pump on these engines, and force the fuel thru the carb. on a float type carb, it will just pour into the throat and flood the engine and leak gas everywhere. if it was designed to work that way, the engine manufacturers would build it that way.
or do you mean that you replaced the primer hose with fuel line? which i still cant see working as primer line is 1/4 inch and fuel line is 3/8 inch. |
