Hello group readers. I got my new copy of WWE at B&N. Ouch, but it makes up for the years I have been reading 35 cent books from the thrift stores.
I'm going to start tomorrow, I hope.

Well, I'm about 75 pages in, and it picks right up being a GREAT READ. I'm going to be riding at least an hour each morning on the exercycle, maybe two, until it is finished. I just love the rough and straightforward approach to life they had, and its frustrating to see when common sense is not known or used, like the decision NOT to stitch the gash in Thomas's arm...DUH!!!

I'm not far behind you Gene. I was so infuriated when Ralph killed Hop. Grrr. I am only in the beginning of this story and am amazed at how, once again how this author can make one feel.

Ralph killed that dog without giving a second thought, just like he did to Ben, you'll see!!
I was out with a cold so, now I'm up to about page 325 or so...will read today at the doc's waiting room I'm sure...but it's just as good as Pillars, and I'm loving every word so far. Such a difference between this and that junk called YHBtM.

I'm just writing to myself. I'm up into the low 600's...can't put this book away...it's great.

I really liked it, I think Follett really outdid himself with those 2 books, but then again that cathedral theme is his passion so it shows up in his writing.

Gene: The bookclub reads have been really quiet past few months, it seems there is very little interest. Nice to have you back - missed ya!

I'm here Gene but am not as far in as you. And sometimes I can't get in here at all. I'll be back when I've read more, hopefully this weekend.

Stupid thing timed out and I lost my previously typed message...aaarrggh!!

This one is just as good as Pillars, although I wish it had more about the architecture and building. The rest of the drama is great.
Read this weekend, Bella, and yes, it's good to be back.

Well, I finished it last night. Was a little disappointed with the 'Hollywood Ending', but after 2000 pages it might have been the best way to end it all. I could have read another 1000-2000 pages of that writing without a hitch!
On to April??
I'm now reading The Shack

Well, I didn't love it, it wasn't as epic as I might have expected. Follett's writing is excellent, I just felt like there was more cruelness in the characters and lacked some of the goodness that was in Pillars. It was ok.
