why would you do that? if its a diaphragm carb, it will never get any fuel as all the primer does is add pressure to the diaphragm, which is the fuel pump on these engines, and force the fuel thru the carb. on a float type carb, it will just pour into the throat and flood the engine and leak gas everywhere. if it was designed to work that way, the engine manufacturers would build it that way.

or do you mean that you replaced the primer hose with fuel line? which i still cant see working as primer line is 1/4 inch and fuel line is 3/8 inch.

I think you are out of luck.  What I did was bypass the primer with the fuel line.  It takes a bit longer to start, but it will start.

try looking up these companies. hayward, silver streak, stens, northcoast distributing, or even tecumseh themselves. tecumseh sells thru a company called gardner, which is where i buy my parts from, but i think you need to be a dealer to buy from them.

any lawn and garden shop can get you what you need under a tecumseh part. tell them to look in their quick reference book or use a tecumseh hs50 model engine with the snowblower shroud over the carb that would replace an air cleaner houseing. i would look it up for you but all my books are packed up to move. your snowblower is a two cycle, i'm thinking, so the primer bulb from an hs50 will work fine. cost about $5.
