its not illegal, their called fansubs.  Fansubbers have a code: it is okay to fansub if the show is not yet released outside of japan. Once the show or dvds become widely available, the fansubs are usually taken down.  Also, fansubbers provide their services for free and expect their downloaders to keep the same standards and not charge anyone else for the material downloaded

Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way

btw i do not promote piracy or illegal downloading, i own many liscensed dvds and manga, fansubs just allow you to enjoy a series that is not yet available for viewing or purchase outside of japan.

You know, your symptoms sound a lot like those experienced with bi-polar disorder. I am not an expert, but my high school boyfriend, whom I've stayed in contact with over the years had the same problem.

Bi-polar disorder is a rough rough to deal with chemical imbalance that should be diagnosed and treated by a doctor.

I came online tonight because I'm fighting once again with a depressive episode brought on by new parenthood. I've been diagnosed by a doctor and have been on medication in the past with great success, to the point where the doctor said I could discontinue the medication with the promise to return to him if/when my symptoms returned. In my surfing tonight, I found lots of information on my symptoms, but in addition, I also found info on bi-polar disorder as well.

Here is a link to the info if anyone is interested:

National Institute of Mental Health Bi-Polar Disorder Signs and Symptoms

Having been through my own crippling depression once and having come through the other side, just know that with the right information and treatment, this stuff is highly treatable. It is also absolutely NOT 'just in your head'.

A doctor explained it to me when I told him I was screwed and untreatable and not worth the effort, and I quote:

"If you had a broken leg, would you just keep trying to walk on it on your own, thinking you can make it better by sheer willpower? Of course not. It is a physical problem that you can't just 'will away'.   Depression, in spite of what our culture tries to teach us about being all in our heads and a sign of a mental shortcoming or flaw on our parts, is just as much a PHYSICAL problem as a broken leg. And every bit as treatable with the right medication and/or therapy."

And he was pretty much right. Nothing is 100 percent, and there are many variables, but don't hesitate to go the medical route first.   If nothing else, to educate yourself and teach yourself ways to anticipate episodes, and treat them before they fall into that downward spiral.

I'm doing just that right now. I'm feeling symptoms, and I for one don't want to wait until I've reached the point once again where I've spent 2 years with no job and suicidal and not realizing what was wrong with me.

Anyway, there's nothing wrong with you that is your fault or some kind of failing in your character. And you are not alone. Once you get on treatment and start feeling better, it will be easier to anticipate and cope with this disease, and with luck, if not be symtom-free, but at least be managable.

Anypoo, I'm gonna keep looking for information for myself. I hope this helps some.
Good luck!
