Sorry, I was in a hurry when I made the original post, and I MEANT to put Harry on it but goofed up and now don't know how to fix it. I shouldn't be able to post when in a hurry and tired.
And I don't think killing Harry would be so more people would write about it--the series is already the biggest thing in the literary world, she doesn't more press--and I also think it would be surprising. Lots of people discuss it, but I don't think anyone really believes it will happen. I just know she said she has known the ending from the time she started, and I just hope she is true to that, whatever it is, and doesn't let all the success and fan pressure influence her. |

Oh yeah, most definitely on that last part.
A long time ago she said the last word in the last book is going to be 'scar.' She said it could change. I wonder.... I don't know if I should start a new thread on this? I'm probably thread hijacking here, but it seems we are mostly done with the who will die discussion. Remember the glimpse of triumph in Dumbledore's eye in GoF? She said that would be explained. I really want to know what it means. It happened right after Harry told him HOW Voldemort was resurrected. My guess was that Dumbledore then realized something important, as how to beat Voldemort, or maybe something about a horcrux. Everyone said that explanation was too simple. But those were the same people with the Ron is Dumbledore theory. I just have this feeling she will forget about that and not have it explained. I hope she ties in all loose ends, but at the low page count the book is at, it makes me wonder. The only thing I can think of is that Dumbledore left him a letter, or he talks to his portrait. Anything? |

How about Neville? He seems like such a vulnerable character, but very noble. I could imagine him sacrificing his life for Harry's at the end of the book.

I never thought of that breezit, but yes. I actually have enjoyed Neville's development over the course of the novels, and that would be a very emotional death for me.
